Please note, due to the unusually large difference in the no. of men entering copared to women ,24/13, the two preliminary rounds are necessary to eliminate 11 men, bringing about an equal no (13) for pairings. Effectively the ladies are only playing in the 2 prelims in order to reduce to male nos. All 13 ladies, inc. Sherry who drew a bye will take their place in the draw for the 1st round 'proper' once the prelims are completed.
The 17 men who feature in the 2 prelims were also randomly drawn, and the 6 remaing after these 2 prelims will join the other 7 men who drew bye into the 1st round 'proper'. Those byes were T Hawks,J Leach,M Mansfield,M White,J Woodliffe,S Leemans and G Emerson.
