TOURNAMENT RULES

FRIMLEY LAWN TENNIS CLUB CHAMPIONSHIPS 2008

1.  FINALS DAY is Saturday 6^th September 2008. 

All entrants must be prepared to play at any time, weather permitting.  In the event of bad weather uncompleted matches will be played on Sunday 7^th  September.  If, during the course of the tournament, players find they will no longer be available to play on Finals Day they must scratch by match point of the next round.

2.  ALL PLAYERS are responsible for organising and completing their matches by the deadlines given, and offering at least three dates on which to play (these must be sensible alternatives bearing in mind holidays and other commitments).

3.  MATCHES will be the best of three long sets; a tie break operating at six games all in the first two sets. Match balls will only be provided for Finals Day, for all other rounds players must provide their own.

4. WINNERS MUST:

• i) Record match results on the master sheet in the clubhouse;

• ii) Report match results to Peter Gray (01276 - 64531) OR,

complete the tournament results sheet under "Online Forms" on the FLTC website - www.frimleyltc.org.uk

• iii) The later qualifying player(s) must contact the opposition immediately to initiate the arrangement of the next round.

5.  COURTS may be BOOKED for tournament matches, sheets are available in the clubhouse.

6.  DISPUTES should be reported to the Tournament Organiser.
